The U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights is holding a public hearing next week, June 7-11, on improving enforcement of Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. They want to hear from students, families, educators, and advocates about combating discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity and all forms of sex discrimination, including sexual harassment.
Your comment will help shape future Title IX regulations which, in turn, helps us challenge discriminatory policies that harm LGBTQ+ youth.
The opposition is actively working to undermine LGBTQ+ youth's access to education. Please joining GLSEN in urging the U.S. Department of Education to adopt new Title IX regulations that protect LGBTQ+ youth.
