Hey John,
Passing a robust Civilian Climate Corps would help repair the damage left by decades without government investment in marginalized communities.
But recently, Joe Biden offered to cut billions of dollars from his jobs plan to appease Republicans, risking critical programs and threatening to water down the CCC. So it’s on us to make sure Biden and Congress don’t cave.
The CCC’s name comes from a New Deal-era program that employed millions to help preserve public lands. The program that inspired today’s bold, progressive proposal had some serious flaws — the exclusion of Black and women workers and the use of stolen Native American land, to name a few.
This time around, we have to do better. That means making sure Congress passes a CCC that creates good jobs in communities that have been disproportionately harmed by the climate crisis, systemic racism, and our broken economy.
Add your name now to tell Congress we need a just, equitable, and fully-funded Civilian Climate Corps: [[link removed]]

This is not the time to tinker around the edges or cut corners. This is a time for action. Our communities can’t wait any longer.
Biden and Congress need to meet this moment by creating millions of jobs in the communities that have been disproportionately impacted by environmental racism.
Tell them to fulfill their promise and give us the robust, fully-funded Civilian Climate Corps that we need. [[link removed]]
