John --

“I was raised that you fight to protect and care for the people that you can believe in and that you love. You fight for your community. You fight for those that feel defenseless.”

That's how Georgia Rep. Lucy McBath, a two-time breast cancer survivor, reflected on her time in Congress and what motivated her to run: her 17 year old son, Jordan.

Jordan was shot and killed in a gas station in 2012 -- by a white man who complained that Jordan's music was “too loud.” McBath used her pain to run for office, defeating a GOP incumbent by just 1% in 2018 -- in a district the NRA helped Republicans hold for two decades.

Since then, she has used her position to push for comprehensive gun control laws, affordable health care access for women and their families, and a government that works to protect those it serves.

We need that kind of leadership in Washington, John. But flipping Lucy's seat in Georgia is the GOP's best chance to take back the House this cycle -- and they're pouring millions into this race, just like they did in 2020 when you helped us protect this seat.

We know we can do it again now. But Republicans have a new trick up their sleeves -- they passed the most restrictive voting law since the Jim Crow era to make sure Democrats don't win in Georgia, and disillusioned Democrats have stopped giving.

Rep. Lucy McBath knows it's “important to have women at the table, so that we can speak about those things that are so critical. Not only to ourselves, but to our families and our communities.”

Thank you for helping us create a different government, one ruled by the people.
