Friend --

Corruption just isn't compatible with a functioning democracy. Thanks to Elizabeth Warren, we're a little closer to cleaning up our government in Washington.

Last week, Sen. Warren announced plans to introduce legislation that would ban members of Congress and other government officials from trading individual stocks. Here's what she had to say during an interview:

“It is a no-brainer. Every senator, member of Congress, president, Cabinet secretary, federal judge, and other senior officials in charge of writing the rules for our financial system should not be able to own or trade individual stocks.” -- Sen. Elizabeth Warren

We saw a wave of scandals in 2020 in Congress, with high-profile Republican senators like Kelly Loeffler and Richard Burr accused of insider trading, pocketing hundreds of thousands of dollars from the privileged information they received due to their positions.

It's just plain wrong, and Sen. Warren knows that the only way to be sure our government officials aren't cheating the system is to take away the temptation to cheat in the first place.

We elect our representatives to serve the people, not enrich themselves. That's why we're collecting signatures to show support for Elizabeth Warren and her crusade to clean up corruption in Congress. We need to collect at least another 426 responses by midnight tonight to get to our goal. Please, will you let us know if you support Sen. Warren's fight to make DC work for the people again?

Do you support Elizabeth Warren's ban on members of Congress trading stocks?

It's time to make public service about serving the people again. Thanks for being in that fight with us.
