We’re writing to ask you to do something a little bit different for Gavin Newsom’s campaign to defeat the Republican recall attempt in California: Please reply to this email with a few words about why you think it’s so important to beat this recall.

Normally we send our online poll around this time of month, and we’ll do that soon, but today we wanted to go a bit deeper.

We ask a lot of you on this campaign: to donate, to volunteer, to post on social media, and, of course, to vote, that it’s important we actually get a sense of why beating this recall is so important to you.

We promise to read through the replies whether they’re a few words, a few paragraphs, or a few pages. So please, just reply to this email and share your thoughts about why beating this recall is so important.
