John, today kicks off an incredibly poignant month for all of us here at Brady. June is Gun Violence Awareness Month, and few understand the importance more than we do — Brady is one of the only gun violence prevention organizations run every day by survivors of gun violence.

That's why we're being so ambitious in setting a fundraising goal for this month — $150,000 in 30 days: because we know firsthand that you can't put a price on saving lives, but you can acknowledge how much it takes to fund this fight. But we can't reach this goal without you, so will you be one of the first people to donate toward our Gun Violence Awareness Month goal so Brady has the resources we need to prevent gun violence and save lives?

DONATE TO END GUN VIOLENCE

Because Brady is run by survivors, when we talk about the pain and loss we're urgently trying to prevent, we're talking about our own loved ones, our own experiences. I'm talking about my mom, John. This isn't hypothetical; it's deeply personal work.

But the NRA and the gun lobby want you to believe our work is somehow infringing on their "rights" — and they're pouring $2 million into efforts to stop bipartisan, common-sense solutions supported by the majority of Americans. Let's set the record straight: Brady is focused on ending gun violence because we believe people have a right to not be murdered. That's the right we defend when we push for expanded background checks, extreme protection order laws, or a ban on assault weapons.

We'll never stop working to save lives — especially not during this month, when we're the closest we've been in a generation to real change. In fact, I'll be keeping a personal eye on this month-long goal and continuing to check in on our progress. Every single dollar we raise has the power to save a life and bring about the end of this uniquely American epidemic, so I'm not exaggerating when I say we're counting on you — I'm counting on you — to donate any amount you can.

Please, John: In honor of those we've lost and all those we can still save, will you make a donation right now for Gun Violence Awareness Month and help Brady end gun violence for good?
