From Bernie Sanders for President <[email protected]>
Subject I am writing to ask you to make a $2.70 contribution to our campaign — especially this morning. We are on the air but not alone. The insurance and drug companies are also spending big to beat us, and we need your help to step on the gas, because Bernie cannot do it alone. - Faiz

In a moment, I am going to ask you to make a contribution to our campaign for president. Please give me a chance to explain why this request is so important.

Here is the truth:

We are on the air in Iowa, but we are not alone. Right now, as you read this, the health insurance companies and drug companies are in the middle of a seven-figure paid media campaign attacking Medicare for All, and by extension Bernie.

When Bernie says that we are taking on the entire damn 1 percent in this campaign, it is not theoretical.

We are an existential threat to the bottom lines of pharmaceutical company CEOs who are allowed to charge whatever they want for lifesaving medicines, no matter how many people die or ration the care they need as a result.

They know if we win, their greed will come to an end. So they fight. They spend. They try to beat us in Iowa and end our campaign.

And there is only one way we’ll have the resources we need to fight back — to make sure they don’t win. Like everything else in this campaign and when we are in the White House, that is together. So what do you say?

Can you make your an contribution to our campaign today? Help us fight back against the insurance and drug company ads trying to beat us and end our campaign.

Thanks for chipping in and standing with Bernie. Because if we keep fighting, we are going to win this race and we are going to transform our country.

All my best,

Campaign Manager
