Vote From Home

John,

The Texas GOP was set on passing one of the most restrictive voter suppression laws in the country. However, grassroots organizations like Vote From Home have been pushing against this bill. As the bill was about to be put to a final vote, the entire Democratic caucus walked out from the legislature, preventing the bill from being passed.

This has been a tough year full of hard battles, but this is a win, and we should celebrate. So, we want to know, do you stand with the Texas Democrats?

SIGN OUR PETITION TO STAND WITH TEXAS DEMS

The bill is dead for now, but we must still be vigilant. The GOP has already promised to reintroduce this bill in the special section of the legislature later this year.

If we do nothing, this disgusting voter suppression bill will pass later this year.

This fight isn’t over, and Texas voters need your support as Republicans work for other avenues to pass SB7.

It’s a zombie bill that could come back with a vengeance — just like we saw in Arizona, where the early vote purge bill died only to be revived in the last days of session. We told you the PEVL purge was going to come back, and it did.

So, please, sign our petition and put your support behind the Texas Democrats walkout.

Thank you,
Vote From Home

Vote From Home is a grassroots movement that's fighting to expand vote by mail. We helped thousands of Democrats vote safely from home in Pennsylvania, Michigan, North Carolina and Georgia in 2020 and 2021. Now we're focused on stopping politicians and legislation who are making it harder for Americans to vote by mail. Please forward this email if you know someone who may be interested. Our average gift is just under $39 so consider donating today to support voting rights.
