The race for Virginia’s Lieutenant Governorship has always been a tight one. And it’s no secret why we’ve been with Sam Rasoul every step of the way. Since forming the state Green New Deal Coalition and introducing the Green New Deal Act in 2019, Sam’s been the leading voice for climate justice in Virginia.

Recently, Sam has been the target of a gross campaign to slow down his momentum and hinder this people-powered campaign. Just last week at a debate, Sam was asked an extremely Islamophobic question.

If Sam wins, he would be the second Muslim elected to any statewide office in the country, and the first in the South. So we need your help, John, to overcome these attacks and help Sam make history on June 8.
