On Wednesday, May 19 we heard powerful words of commitment and action at All About the States: Transgender Rights in 2021. Our panel spoke with passion about the work they do every day and why they do it. The event featured:

Last week we learned that none of the 35 anti-LGBTQ bills in Texas managed to clear the house. Our joy was tempered by the news that the Anchorage, Alaska assembly is attempting to revise their fair housing protections to discriminate against trans women in women's shelters.

I urge you to watch the event and feel a sense of invigoration and renewed purpose moving forward. While sometimes it may feel that we take a step back for every step forward, powerful people are working to make a difference.
