Why Black Lives Matter Sides With Hamas Against Israel – Anyone who has studied BLM will know that its animus is against Western culture, which it wants to dismantle—not the long history of invasion, of which it appears to know little. The heart of the West is Christianity, and Judaism is at the heart of Christianity. Christ was a practicing Jew, as were Mary, Joseph, and likely all the apostles, who worshipped at the Jewish temple along with Jesus. Anyone who truly wants to dismantle the West, to “problematize” it in critical race theory lingo, will want to start there first. Israel is not fighting the Palestinian National Authority in the West Bank; Israel’s battle today is with Hamas. By siding against Israel, BLM is siding with Hamas. Saying that has become as controversial as saying that BLM is Marxist, but only because the press corps is intent on covering for BLM. Both statements are true. The reasons BLM takes the side of Hamas, however, may have little to do with postcolonialism, and much more to do with its desire to bring down the United States and the entire West. Heritage expert: Mike Gonzalez

John Cena’s Groveling to China Previews World Where We Must Live by Lies – Stars and moguls become ruthlessly cynical when dealing with Communist China, throwing out all pretense of their commitment to free speech, democracy, and “anti-racism” at the snap of a CCP censor’s finger. Somebody in the NBA says Hong Kong should have democracy? Shut up and dribble. Taiwan is a country? Bow low and beg for mercy. We are told on one hand that corporate America is leading a kind of moral great awakening, yet it says nothing about—and even lobbies on behalf of—a country that engages in ethnic cleansing and employs literal cotton-picking slaves. But the problem is bigger than a few sellout Hollywood celebrities. The behavior of Hollywood and much of corporate America, as exemplified so clearly by Cena and James, is just a small preview of the world we will find ourselves in if America and the free world are shoved to the side by a rising, authoritarian China. Heritage expert: Jarrett Stepman

Biden’s workforce push eclipses women’s personal career and family choices – While the COVID-19 pandemic initially hit women harder than men, that’s no longer the case. Instead, women may be propelled forward by increased flexibility and family-friendly policies. Yet Biden says that women are falling behind, and they need government interventions to help them measure up to men. Such efforts, like government paid family leave and childcare, have been ineffective at helping women’s incomes and careers. And they’ve been detrimental to children’s and parent’s relationships, mental health, and overall well-being. Biden’s agenda also attempts to dictate the types of jobs available to women. In an attempt to push more workers into unions, Biden supports eliminating flexible and independent work that helps more women achieve the work and family balance they need and desire. Instead of new interventions, Biden should help women by removing existing barriers that make it harder for women to pursue the career and family choices that are best for them. Heritage expert: Rachel Greszler

It’s Time for Climate Realism When It Comes to China – As detailed by Columbia University scholars, Philippe Benoit and Kevin Jianjun Tu, China is outgrowing its label as a developing nation, even as it continues to enjoy the favorable terms and flexibility afforded to developing nations under international climate and finance bodies like the World Bank and U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change. Perhaps it’s time that changed. And, while the Biden administration has not seen fit to put the Paris Agreement before the Senate for advice and consent, Congress should avoid climate policies that impoverish Americans and halt legitimate energy infrastructure from being built in the U.S. If it doesn’t, Congress shouldn’t be surprised if China doesn’t follow along with an exorbitantly expensive approach. No matter how policymakers interpret the climate data and future projections, U.S. policy responses should not be made in an isolationist vacuum. Heritage expert: Katie Tubb

Teachers at Rebekah Randall’s Son’s School Are Fixated on Race. She Wants to Know, ‘What Is the Endgame?’  Activists are making sure critical race theory remains in the headlines in the coming weeks. Black Lives Matter at School supporters and protesters from the Zinn Education Project are preparing for “a day of action” in at least a dozen states on June 12. The events are specifically opposing state lawmakers’ proposals meant to protect children from prejudice. Americans should be under no illusions about the goals of these organizations that support critical race theory. Teachers should be “disrupting the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure,” according to the Black Lives Matter at School website. The late author Howard Zinn wrote that he wanted his revisionist history book, “A People’s History of the United States,” to “awaken a greater consciousness of class conflict, racial injustice, sexual inequality, and national arrogance.” Heritage expert: Jonathan Butcher
