Years of NOW

Dear John,

This month on June 30 we celebrate NOW’s 55th Anniversary! While we have achieved so much together in these 55 years—from the passing of Title IX, Roe v. Wade and the Violence Against Women Act all the way up to the 2017 Women’s March—we are still fighting to achieve and protect our equal rights from new attacks. Can we count on your support today?

Our work is far from over. In just the past few weeks, the Supreme Court, now packed with three Trump-installed justices, announced it’s taking up a case that directly challenges Roe v. Wade. A bad decision in this case will embolden state legislatures and governors to pass new and even more restrictive anti-abortion laws.

No matter what happens in this case, NOW is fighting for the lives and autonomy of girls, women, and all LGBTQIA+ people. This month we launch RUN NOW to empower NOW members with training on everything from running for office to becoming a professional campaign operative.

Together, we can harness the energy, passion, and ideas of this community to advance our feminist agenda. Your gift will help NOW mobilize our chapters, our online activist network, allies, and feminists nationwide into an unstoppable grassroots force. I’m still fired up, and I hope you are too.
