I have been laser-focused on dealing with this once-in-a-generation pandemic and the impact it’s had on our economy. Leadership, especially in tough times, calls for bringing people together, listening to facts and science, and making decisions that benefit all of us.

That’s what leaders do.

In addition to overseeing a successful vaccine rollout -- administering as many as 100,000 shots per day -- we announced our plan for investing additional school dollars in Bay City to help build safer, stronger, smarter public schools to help our students get ahead.

We’re also rolling out our Rebuilding Michigan plan, which includes hundreds of projects that fix our roads with the right mix and materials, and will create over 22,000 good-paying construction jobs while keeping Michigan drivers safe on the road.

If Americans learned one crucial lesson throughout the past year, it’s how important governors are.

I fight so hard every day to deliver the jobs and opportunity our state deserves because of that resilience -- along with the compassion, innovation and inclusion -- Michiganders have shown throughout this crisis.
