John -- sorry to bother you on a holiday, but I have an important finance update for you.

As of 8 a.m. this morning, we're not where we need to be if we're going to hit our May end-of-month fundraising goal by tonight's deadline.

Here's why that's not good: While we're still more than a year away from the 2022 elections, that hasn't stopped my opponents and national Republicans from launching attacks on my record as governor. Launching attack ads this early in the race could have negative consequences for our campaign if we can't fight back.

I'm going to be honest with you, I'm a little nervous about our fundraising progress for the month. But here's the good news: My team and I crunched the numbers and if we're going to hit our May end-of-month goal, we need to raise $2,576 by midnight to close our fundraising gap. Help us get there by chipping in our online average donation of $29, or whatever you can, right away.
