Today is Memorial Day — a day where we honor the lives of our brave men and women in uniform who sacrificed their lives for our country.

As a member of Congress, I want to commemorate this Memorial Day by making sure that we serve our troops as well as they have served us. Many Americans continue to put on the uniform every day and risk their lives to protect our country. It is critical that we continue to support them and ensure they have the resources they need both during their service and once they return home — including access to mental health services and healthcare, adequate housing, and job placement.

This Memorial Day, please join me in remembering these fallen heroes and their families. We must honor those who gave their lives for our country and reflect on those who continue to bravely serve. Our nation is eternally grateful for your service and sacrifice.
