I know my team and I have emailed you quite a bit about tonight’s fundraising deadline to ask you to make a donation. I wanted to take a moment to share why these emails are so important for our campaign.

As you can imagine, fundraising is nobody’s favorite part of running for office, but it’s necessary — especially for a race as important as this one.

On Election Day last year, the Senate race in North Carolina was the most expensive Senate race in United States history, and political analysts expect this race to be one of the most expensive races in 2022.

I deeply believe that we have to get this big, special interest money out of politics, and I will fight to do that in the U.S. Senate.

But first, we have to win, and that means we’ve got to be able to compete with the massive amounts of special interest money that Republicans will spend to hold this seat.

Now this may surprise you, but the number one source of donations for our campaign is actually emails like this one. That’s why we’ve sent so many emails.

Knowing how important this is, will you consider making a $3 donation to our campaign right now? Every donation puts us one step closer to hitting our goal and flipping this Senate seat.

When everyone chips in what they can, it adds up in powerful ways. Together, we will defeat the far-right super PACs that want to buy this seat and make sure Democrats hold our Senate majority in 2022.
