John,
On Memorial Day, we honor all those who made the ultimate
sacrifice. Thankfully, the vast majority of Americans recognize
Memorial Day as more than a “long weekend.” We must thank the men and
women we memorialize this weekend for our country, our freedom, and
for opportunity.
The world would be much different if brave Americans had not
given their lives to defeat tyranny, the Nazi Regime, dictatorships,
communism, terrorists and all those who wish to do evil to our nation
and others. During the wars our nation has engaged in overseas, the
only thing Americans have ever asked for was some land to bury our
dead. The American flag is the most important symbol of freedom in the
world and a direct result of the sacrifices of those we memorialize
this weekend. (Pictured below at the Carbon County Memorial Day
Program)
God bless you, God bless America, God bless all who paid for our
freedom with their lives, and may God bless their families
forever!
Thank you, and I look forward to seeing you soon,
Dan
