John — Memorial Day holds a special meaning for me coming from a military family. Today, we honor the brave Americans who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country and for our freedom. We owe an unpayable debt of gratitude to those who lost their lives fighting for us back home. And we must show our gratitude beyond just words. As Lt. Governor, I pledge to honor and uphold the brave men and women who currently serve, our veterans, and the families of those who have lost someone in the service. Our freedom comes at a cost.
