Dear John,

CitizenGO is committed to being outspoken in our support for the right to life. Abortion kills pre-born children, the most innocent among us, and any country that accepts abortion cannot truly claim to respect the right to life for all human beings.

In the past year there have unfortunately been limitations to our opportunities to speak out against abortion and other evils brought on by the culture of death. Most large outdoor events from March 2020 until now have been cancelled due to worries around COVID-19. This affected pro-life events that CitizenGO would typically be attending, such as Canada’s 2020 March for Life and the 2021 March for Life in the United States.

This is why CitizenGO was honoured to have the opportunity to sponsor Canada’s National March for Life this month, and why I was so proud to be able to represent the CitizenGO community there in Ottawa.

Though the attendance there was, for good reason, only a fraction of what it was in previous years, still many hundreds of people came together to speak out against abortion, which claims the lives of around 100,000 pre-born children in Canada each year, and yet has been seen as an essential right to the Trudeau government.

Much was also said at the March for Life about Bill C-7, a bill that passed last March which gave Canada one of the world’s most permissive euthanasia laws by allowing people whose deaths are not reasonably foreseeable to be euthanized. Bill C-7 also makes it so that within two years, Parliament needs to craft rules around allowing people to die by euthanasia who have no physical illness but are mentally ill.

Throughout the last year, we at CitizenGO were very vocal in speaking out against Bill C-7 through petitions and phoning campaigns. In the past year, CitizenGO has also spoken out against Canada giving taxpayer money to fund abortion overseas, the censorship of pro-life signs in Calgary, Alberta, and attempts from Global News to get the Canadian government to block pro-life groups from receiving COVID-19 wage subsidies.

Likewise, my colleague Gregory in the United States has fought in the last year to advocate for the confirmation of pro-life Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett, fought to remove the bust of Planned Parenthood’s founder Margaret Sanger from Washington DC’s National Portrait Gallery, and fought against two pro-abortion bills in Virginia. Globally, we at CitizenGO have fought to stop child euthanasia from being legalized in the Netherlands, and we’ve gone up against the abortion lobby many times at the United Nations.

We at CitizenGO are committed to fighting against the culture of death wherever it rears its head. We are against any actions taken by governments or organizations that aim to normalize abortion or make abortion more accessible. We stand against euthanasia and any actions taken to normalize or assist in suicide. Life is precious from womb to tomb, and CitizenGO stands with all who fight to protect human life and human dignity.

Thank you for standing with us as we fight for life,

James Schadenberg and the entire CitizenGO Team
