This Memorial Day, we take time to reflect on the service members who gave their lives to protect our democracy and allow us to live free. 

Our country and our world are facing so much in this moment — from the ongoing pandemic, to conflicts abroad, and the need to find solutions to grow our economy. We are working hard and have great momentum, but this work is only possible because our armed forces keep us all safe and secure. 

To every single military member and their families, I thank you. Each loss is felt in ripples across our communities, and while I cannot erase that pain, I will always work to honor their memories. Thank you for your service and sacrifice to this country.

Every day we must remember the sacrifices the members of our military make, and work towards creating a better and more secure future for all veterans and their families.
