Tell 2021 district mapmakers:
We demand fair and transparent redistricting for all 50 states that doesn’t put the needs of partisan politicians before the voices of communities, and rejects any attempts to gerrymander our maps and silence voters.

Right now, Republican politicians in states around the country are sitting in rooms, drawing maps to choose their voters. That’s not how democracy is supposed to work.
It’s time for we, the people, to stand up and say NO to gerrymandering!
The whole point of democracy is for the people to pick their representatives, but too often, the process works backwards. And with big, dark money further corrupting our democracy, we need a transparent redistricting process that puts people first.
Otherwise, we end up with elected officials in Congress and in state legislatures who refuse to accept election results―and those same politicians end up pushing wildly unpopular things like defunding Social Security.
Social Security Works is proud to stand in coalition with Common Cause on this. Together, we’re demanding politicians in back rooms who are working to undermine our democracy, instead make our democracy work for the people!
