I wanted to take the time this Memorial Day to say thank you to the brave men and women who fought for our country.

As an army veteran, this day has significant meaning to me.

I grew up in a family with a tradition of service to this country. My father wore the uniform of the United States Air Force and after high school I followed in his footsteps. I enlisted in the Army, where I proudly served as a military policeman.

This weekend we honor the heroes who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for their love of country and our freedom.

I want to express my deepest gratitude for the sacrifices of the men and women who lost their lives in the service of America.
