Are you confident that Speaker Nancy Pelosi is doing everything she can to fight our criminal president? We were, of course, glad when she finally agreed to open an impeachment inquiry, and we were proud to push her on the issue for months preceding her decision. But even though we need Trump impeached, and out of the White House, as soon as possible, Pelosi continues to work with him.

Chip in to replace a representative who’s willing to collaborate with the White House.

Last month, Pelosi introduced legislation to lower prescription drug costs. But even her legislation doesn’t solve the problem. It would still allow Americans to be charged up to $2,000 for prescription drugs that are available elsewhere for far less.

But most Americans don’t even have $500 put aside to meet an unplanned expense. In a just medical system putting patients before profit, medicines, doctor visits, and other treatment options will all be free at the point of use.

We shouldn’t be surprised. We can’t expect health justice from a career politician who’s as beholden to corporate contributions as Pelosi has been. After all, she’s raked in $193,000 from drugmakers and their PACs over the past decade.

Would you rather be represented by someone beholden to the community, instead of corporate donors?

Meanwhile, she’s still playing the game of bipartisan deference to the beltway establishment, saying that:

"We do hope to have White House buy-in."

This is no time to defer to the White House or the beltway establishment. The House leadership should have only one goal with regards to this administration: getting rid of it.

And because the House leadership is failing to meet the needs of the future, our job is clear: to replace it.
