Good evening,
As yet another Memorial Day approaches, I find myself remembering our nation's fallen heroes. I know quite a few servicemen and women who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. As a Member of Congress, I am fortunate to get the chance to meet lots of people, including families of some of these heroes. Between the picnics, cookouts and parades, I encourage you and your family to read and learn about a few stories of those who have given everything in defense of our great country. I am thankful we continue to have an all volunteer force to defend our nation.
As I've shared with you before, one of the units I had the privilege to serve in was The Old Guard. Escorting those who paid the ultimate sacrifice to their final resting place was not easy, but it was one of the greatest honors of my life. I'm continually thankful for people who love this country with the sort of passion that would cause them to lay down their lives in defense of our nation, and our highest ideals. I will continue to make sure their sacrifices are honored. Please join me in remembering them on Memorial Day, and with a moment of silent prayer at 3:00pm. Also, I will be participating in the West Chester parade - I hope to see you there.
On behalf of Lisa and I, have a blessed Memorial Day!
For God and Country,
Warren
