This Memorial Day, I want to honor the brave men and women who have paid the ultimate sacrifice to protect the freedoms we enjoy.

It is because of their bravery we are able to gather with our family and friends, and we as a nation must never forget that.

As we pay tribute to the servicemembers who have given their lives serving our nation, we should also take a chance to thank the men and women in uniform who are currently serving.

May is Military Appreciation Month, and I hope every American will join me in showing their appreciation to all the servicemembers and their families for taking the oath to serve our country.

We will always be grateful for their service and sacrifice on behalf of our great nation.
