Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (GA-14) has been under fire after comparing U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s rule requiring members of the House to wear masks on the chamber floor to the Holocaust.[1] Unsurprisingly, the extreme right-wing member of Congress is now bending the truth to attempt to defend herself.[2] And this is in addition to her repeated, aggressive attacks on the transgender community, on people of color, on her congressional colleagues, and others – in a sharp reminder of exactly how absolutely unfit she is to hold office.
And on top of all that, she is now traveling around the country defending Donald Trump’s Big Lie about fraud during the 2020 general election – despite it being the same election that got her elected.[3]
Please help us get to 75,000 signatures to send a powerful message that Rep. Greene’s toxic lies and violent, inciteful rhetoric cross the line and have no place in Congress. (We're already 82% of the way there!)
Let’s not forget that back in 2019 Rep. Greene harassed a survivor of the Parkland shooting, gun reform advocate David Hogg, using an anti-Semitic dogwhistle by deriding his “George Soros funding” while portraying herself as a victim for not being able to meet with as many senators as he had done.[4]
If there was ever a person who embodied the dangers of Trumpism, it’s Rep. Greene. She even introduced an article of impeachment against President Biden just hours after the inauguration, citing only the baseless and well-refuted claims that Republicans used against President Biden last year.
