John --

Thanks to your hard work in 2020, Democrats are in a position to pass historic legislation proposed by the Biden administration -- including the transformational $2.25 trillion American Jobs Plan.

But far-right Republicans are finding anything they can to complain about in the bill. One of their main targets? A proposed $400 billion investment in care work.

That's right, Republicans are upset that we as a country might decide to finally value our caregivers properly. Their complaint is that the American Jobs Plan is supposed to be an infrastructure bill, which they define as bridges, roads, power supplies, and the like.

Democrats know that care work is just as necessary for maintaining America's economic stability as roads and bridges are. When we talk about care workers, we're talking about nannies, house cleaners and health aides who work with the elderly, people with disabilities, families, and children. In fact, care was designated an essential service by the federal government during the COVID-19 pandemic.

President Biden's bill is especially important to the AAPI community because, among home-care workers, 87 percent are women and 62 percent are women of color. In fact, working-class AAPI women often end up concentrated in unprotected service jobs like domestic work, with an average annual salary of only $27,080.

Nonetheless, Republicans are pushing forward to try and significantly reduce or entirely cut the care work provisions of the American Jobs Plan. Democrats can't let them push this radical take on what is or isn't infrastructure without a fight.

That's why we need your help right now, John. We're collecting signatures to show our support for care workers. If you believe it's finally time for America to properly invest in those workers that we trust to take care of our closest family and friends, we need your input on the survey below. We want to get 500 responses before midnight. Can you sign right now to support essential care workers across the country?

Do you support the $400 billion investment in care work in President Biden's American Jobs Plan?

YES   NO

Democrats need your support now more than ever to get this game-changing piece of legislation across the finish line. Thanks so much for always supporting our work.
