John- Dan Crenshaw here. This week, ahead of Memorial Day, I talked about what motivated me to fight for our great country in the Navy SEALs. I also continued to call out President Biden and our military leadership for continuing to bring woke leftists politics into our military, and called out the left and the media for finally acknowledging the truth about the origins of COVID-19 in China. Now, here’s your brief. People always ask why I chose the hardest, most grueling military training. And my answer to them is that I chose the SEALs BECAUSE it is the most grueling, because I would be asked to do the hardest things and be in the most extreme situations fighting for my country. I knew what I was getting into when I joined the SEALs and I knew the risks. I accepted the risks because fighting to defend America is worth any risk. It’s worth losing one eye and nearly losing sight in another. And for those brave Americans who raise their hand and ask to go to war, America is worth dying for. That’s who we are remembering this weekend - the brave men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedom and way of life in the greatest country on earth. Never Forget.  GET POLITICS OUT OF OUR MILITARY We’ve seen institution after institution crippled by the woke agenda since President Biden took office. Now, the woke mob is going after our military. And to make matters worse, military leaders under President Biden are caving. Since Biden took office: 1. Critical Race Theory training - which President Trump banned - was reinstated. 2. Biden’s Defense Secretary called for taxpayer-funded gender reassignment surgery for soldiers. 3. A Lieutenant Commander in Space Force was fired for warning about Marxism in our military. 4. The U.S. Navy added highly partisan Marxist and “antiracist” literature to their reading program. I’ve had enough. We should be preparing America’s soldiers to fight and win battles – NOT become Social Justice Warriors. I hope the message to military leadership is clear: We aren’t going to stand by as our military becomes another institution crippled by woke political correctness. Now all of those same critics have radically changed their tune. Evidence emerged this week that strongly points the finger at the Chinese Communist Party and the lab in Wuhan, China where dangerous research was being conducted that may have caused this global pandemic. I’ve been calling for investigations from the beginning, and the Energy and Commerce Committee - where I serve - is launching a full investigation into the origins of this pandemic. I’ve also introduced legislation that allows Americans to sue the Chinese government for their role in spreading this pandemic around the world. China even threatened me with sanctions for my statements, but I refused to stand down. We need to get to the bottom of what really happened so it never happens again, and I’m not afraid to place the blame right on China’s doorstep if necessary. But everyone from Fauci to Big Tech to the biased press needs to acknowledge their mistake in trying to discredit the commonsense lab-leak theory from the beginning.
