The midterms will make or break Democrats' ability to keep passing a bold agenda for the American people. We passed COVID relief for working families by the barest margins – and even with GOP leaders pledging to obstruct all efforts of the Biden administration, political pundits across the board are saying Republicans are well-positioned to make major gains in Congress.

That's why it is of the utmost importance that every member of this team digs deep to help us raise another $21,147 to hit our midnight grassroots fundraising goal. The deadline is approaching quickly, so before I ask you to donate, let me remind you of what we're up against:

- Republican legislators in Florida passed a voter suppression law just as extreme as the one recently passed in Georgia – and our right-wing governor signed it into law. It would criminalize giving water to voters waiting in line. Water.
- That same law puts extreme restrictions on mail-in voting, which will impact millions of Floridians, mostly Democrats.
- Across the country, these laws are designed to keep Black voters and other voters of color from getting to the ballot box.

When Republicans sink this low – essentially reviving Jim Crow laws – then it's up to us to fight TWICE as hard. But winning in Florida and defending our majority hinges on hitting these grassroots goals. And I can't hit this grassroots goal without you, friend.
