This is it. Less than two weeks to go in Virginia to help progressives win power on the state and local level.
It is pretty remarkable to think that not too long ago, Virginia was seen by many as a Republican stronghold that was out of reach for Democrats.
But at DFA, unlike the often out-of-touch Democratic establishment, we do not believe in the idea of unwinnable “red states”.
We know first hand that by investing the time, money, and resources it takes into organizing the New American majority, voters of color and white progressives, we can and will beat back Republican voter suppression while electing Democrats that go to bat for working people, whether that be in Virginia, Georgia or any other “red state” in the South.
Right now, to do that, we need your help to reach as many voters as possible over the next 11 days to get them out to vote for Jennifer Carroll Foy, Sam Rasoul, Jay Jones, and several amazing state legislative candidates across Virginia. There’s no time to waste in these final weeks, especially when moderate Democrats and far-right Republicans are working so hard to keep progressives from winning and enacting sweeping reforms for working families.
This is our chance to begin winning control of state governments and establish a nation that delivers on the promise of change from the ground up.
Every single vote counts and we need you with us every step of the way.
Expectations are that turnout will be much lower than it is for presidential elections.
That’s why we need all hands on deck as we mobilize voters that have not voted in every election and need direct contact and specific information to get out the vote.
A few hours of your time over the next 11 days could be the difference between progressives gaining power or corporates Democrats and their Wall Street friends keeping their grip on power for four more years.
