John,
Donald Trump’s Postmaster General Louis DeJoy is at it again―working to undermine the future of the USPS. DeJoy is now pushing a plan that would delay the delivery of First Class Mail, watering down service standards and creating a “death spiral” for the USPS. That is unacceptable.
Together, we are fighting to ensure there will be NO mail slowdown. Americans depend on the mail for prescription drug deliveries, paychecks, messages from loved ones and more. Thankfully, there’s something you can do to stop DeJoy's mail slowdown.

The US Postal Service is a public good that connects all of our communities. Together, we must defend it against these relentless attacks.

Tell the Postal Regulatory Commission and the Federal Register:
The Postal Service plays a critical role in our country. Stop the proposed service standard changes which would permanently slow down the delivery of First Class Mail.

John,
Postmaster General Louis DeJoy was appointed under the last administration to run the US Postal Service more like a for-profit business than a public good. This resulted in a massive slowdown of the mail right before an election when millions of people were relying on mail in ballots. The slowdown also threatened the timely delivery of everything from paychecks to critical medications.
Now, even under the new Biden administration, Trump’s Postmaster General hasn’t stopped―putting forward a plan that would slow down the mail permanently and undermine the future of the US Postal Service. But first it needs to go through a public comment period.
Join our growing national coalition to submit your comment. It will be submitted directly to the Federal Register, and if submitted by today, May 28, will also be included in the official filings by the American Postal Workers Union, opposing this dangerous plan.
Here's what DeJoy is up to: After a year when unprecedented mail delays caused tremendous national outrage, DeJoy is trying to force through a plan to permanently slow down the delivery of our mail.
The USPS has announced slowdowns to their “service standards," which are the on-time delivery targets for different kinds of mail. First Class Mail is now supposed to be delivered within 1-3 days, but under DeJoy's plan could take as long as 5 days! Those service delays will push people away from the US Postal Service, and begin a "death spiral" at the USPS― meaning fewer people would use the Postal Service, creating less revenue, leading to even more budget and service cuts.
Together, we can stop DeJoy's service cuts and save the USPS!
John, take 1-minute to send a comment to the Federal Register, and if submitted by today, May 28, it will also be included in the official submissions of the Postal Workers Union to the Postal Regulatory Commission―especially helpful! If you submit by June 22, your comment will still be officially received. Submit your official comment today!
The US Postal Service is one of the most trusted and cherished government institutions in our country. For generations, the USPS has created good-paying jobs and tied our communities together. Let's keep it that way!
Thank you for all you do to fight for a future that includes all of us, not just the wealthy few.
