In a moment I’m going to ask you to chip in toward our crucial end-of-month goal before midnight tonight — but I know you’re getting a lot of emails like this, so first let me explain why our campaign for U.S. Senate deserves your donation:

I’m a proven problem solver. I have shown I can get things done — for patients in the operating room and for the more than 830,000 Pennsylvanians I serve as County Commission Chair. I know I can cut through the noise and dysfunction in Washington to get things done for all Pennsylvanians — frankly, I’ve solved harder problems.

That’s because I never, ever give up, whether it’s biking up a hill on one of our local trails, or going to the mat to help secure health care for 23 million Americans through the Affordable Care Act.

Flipping this Senate seat and putting it to work for Pennsylvanians will be one of my toughest challenges yet. And, to be honest, our campaign team has added another challenge on top of that: raising $100,000 by the end of May to power this campaign.

And we’re planning ahead because we know folks are looking forward to a holiday weekend, so we’re working to meet our goal by midnight tonight, two days before the month ends.

With Republicans already raking in over $23 million to keep this seat red and take back the Senate, it couldn’t be more important for us to reach this goal to win this toss-up race.

We need to make important investments to build our campaign this summer — which means raising funds for digital ads and making sure we fuel up for road trips as we travel talking to voters across Pennsylvania.
