Friend,

There is nothing more powerful than an act of love.

In 1965, a group of volunteer lawyers in New Jersey witnessed the horror of Bloody Sunday and decided to fight against discrimination in their own communities. This included my parents’ right to buy a home in a segregated neighborhood, an act of love that helped change the trajectory of my life.

In the past year, millions of Americans have taken to the streets in one of the greatest sustained demonstrations for justice in the history of our nation — and they followed it up by making their voices heard at the ballot box.

These acts of love are bending the moral arc of our country a little closer toward justice. And with so many forces inside and outside of politics still seeking to divide us, we need to defend the progress we’ve worked so hard to achieve.

I’m humbly asking: If you can afford it, will you pitch in a donation of $10 or more to help me defend our Senate majority and keep love on the agenda in Congress? Any amount you can give will go a long way.

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

I want to thank you for being a part of our work to build a country we can all be proud of. I won’t stop — I hope you won’t either.
