I sincerely hope you have a fun Memorial Day weekend. We all need some relief from the pandemic and now that relief is in sight if you are vaxed - so enjoy yourself. 

But the theme of the Memorial Day weekend is not lighthearted. It's knowing the people who died protecting us in war, knowing about their sacrifice and honoring it. Now, there are many, many situations of people being killed in defense of liberty, but some of them are mass. Some of them we don't really understand - like the Vietnam War. Conscripted Americans were sent to Vietnam to protect the Vietnamese people from the advancing communists. Now, we pulled out of Vietnam. We did not lose the war militarily. We pulled out because it was just out of control. And now the Vietnamese are under the thumb of the communists who deny all freedom.
