Many of you know this, but it bears repeating: During the legally mandated fundraising freeze, we didn't raise a dime from December through the end of April, while Washington state's legislature was in session.

During that time, we proved the power of the movement we've built together. Together, we realized one of the most historic, progressive sessions Washington, or any state for that matter, has ever seen.

Now, session is over, and we've got some catching up to do to keep our progress (on climate, economic justice, and so much more) moving full steam ahead.
So before our first end-of-month deadline since session, please chip in right away to keep the momentum going.

A lot's changed since the last time we had an official fundraising deadline: President Joe Biden moved into the White House. More than 165 million Americans have received at least one dose against COVID-19 (we've administered over 4.2 million first doses here in Washington state). And here in Washington state, we achieved concrete policy wins that we've been working toward for years. Things like:

* Passing the Climate Commitment Act and Clean Fuel Standard to cut carbon emissions and create new, local jobs in clean energy
* Passing a capital gains tax to make our regressive tax system fairer
* Putting more money in the pockets of working families by funding the Working Families Tax Credit

This historic legislative session showed how much we can accomplish when we work together. But we still have so much progress left to make -- and just because session is over doesn't mean that we can rest! If we are going to recover better, we must all continue pushing for progress.

So today, I'm asking: Will you rush a donation before our official May fundraising deadline (today!) to keep building progress and this movement alongside me?
