In April, the New York Attorney General opened an investigation into the NRA’s tax-exempt status — questioning whether the group qualifies as a charitable organization.
Now, the Attorney General for the District of Columbia just opened up a new investigation and has issued subpoenas to determine whether the NRA used charitable funds to provide private benefits to NRA officials.
The investigations by both of the offices are ominous signs for the NRA, which has been struggling with a very public meltdown for the past few months.
So while the NRA scrambles to address all of these investigations, will you help us keep up the momentum?
