This Memorial Day, let’s rededicate ourselves to making our nation stronger. That is the title of my op-ed in the Chicago Tribune this week. I urge you to take a minute and read the op-ed here.  <[link removed]>

I will be celebrating Memorial Day by speaking at the Bluford Community Veterans Memorial Service at noon on Monday. If you are in the Jefferson County area it would be great to see you there.



While we cannot match the sacrifice of the fallen, we can at least work to validate their belief that our freedom, our families and our country are something worth protecting, preserving, and giving their lives for.



Enjoy this Memorial Day Weekend and please remember and be grateful for the sacrifices the fallen made for us. Honor their memories by understanding their motivation and by renewing our resolve to make this nation even stronger.
