PARTY FUNDRAISING These last few weeks have been a whirlwind as we, your newly elected team have taken the reins of the State GOP. Much of our time has been spent assessing and organizing to meet the day-to-day functions of the Party. These duties are important, but we must always stay focused on our number one responsibility; attracting and electing talented Republicans across the State of Utah. Until recently, we would often hear the grassroots protest that their voices were not heard, that they want more say in our Party, our candidates, our policies, and our elected officials. That of course changed at the recent State Convention where we saw firsthand your effectiveness as a unified grassroots. You spoke, you voted, and you determined who will lead you. Those of us you elected are here to serve you, to work hard, spend smart, and to keep Utah red. Much like at the State Convention, the results moving forward are up to you. Our State Party can invite and encourage principled individuals to run, but it is up to you to look around your community, your neighborhoods, even your own home, to find and recruit quality, conservative candidates for elected office who want to make a difference. Our State team is setting up a solid foundation for elections that candidates can rely on for their campaign needs. The State Party will provide an excellent campaign team and vital campaign services. Although most of our team is made up of volunteers, there are still substantial costs associated with campaigning and election assistance. To accomplish these goals, we have renewed, "The Elephant Club" as a monthly contribution platform. These funds pay many of the hard costs for our candidates. The concept is simple, yet your collective impact is enormous. Just to add perspective, even if each State Delegate commits to just $10 per month, our election war chest swells to hundreds of thousands of dollars and sets our party on the path to financial sustainability. When you support our candidates via the State Party, be assured that our candidates are receiving the best campaign resources available. This also creates a well-rounded financial platform, where we can create the balance between small-dollar donations and big donors alike. Thus spreading equally the costs and the representation.
