Friend: My friend and ally in this critical fight for justice, Sen. Raphael Warnock, is up for reelection next year - and right now, he needs our urgent help to defend his Democratic seat in Georgia. Let me explain.

Just three short years ago, Raphael invited me to speak at Atlanta's Ebenezer Baptist Church, where he is the senior pastor and preaches from the same pulpit as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. He was an outstanding public servant back then - and he is now. Raphael is Georgia's first Black senator in history - the only other Black Democrat in the Senate besides myself - and his runoff win helped us take back the majority and usher in a new era of moral leadership. Our country needs more people like him in Washington.

But there's a big problem: Senate Republicans need to flip only one seat to retake control for Mitch McConnell, and Raphael is a TOP target for defeat. With the GOP gearing up to spend millions to defeat his people-powered campaign, he needs your immediate grassroots support to fight back. That's why I'm personally asking, friend:

Will you chip in $5 or more right now to support Raphael's critical reelection fight so we can keep Georgia and the Senate blue? Our democracy and our Democratic priorities are at stake.

Believe me, friend, elections matter. Thanks to Raphael's leadership and our narrow Senate majority, we just passed the American Rescue Plan and provided crucial pandemic relief to struggling families. We've put forward a sweeping voting rights bill to protect our democracy. And we're turning the page on the cruelty and shortsightedness of the last four years.

But there's still so much left to do - from protecting our voting rights to fully recovering from this pandemic - and Raphael is exactly the kind of strong, moral leader we need in the Senate to help us get it done.

But experts at The New York Times confirm that Raphael is the most vulnerable Senate Democrat incumbent up for reelection - and the only way he can fight back against GOP attacks and defend his seat is with a massive wave of grassroots support. If we lose in Georgia, we could lose our Senate majority - so please, friend:
