Dear ,
I hope you all have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend ahead of you - let’s remember the sacrifices so many have made to preserve and protect the freedoms we get to enjoy.
I wanted to use this message to describe what exactly the New Hampshire Republican State Committee does. Our main job is to elect Republican Candidates - we do this in a number of ways. We raise money to build our grassroots organization in New Hampshire, send mail and digital advertisements to get our voters out on Election Day, and support our Republican candidates by utilizing our voter data and applications to power their campaigns.
We are laser-focused on fulfilling those objections every day at the New Hampshire Republican Party, and I’ll let you in on some news: Next week when we file our first financial report with The New Hampshire Secretary of State, the NHGOP will be in the best possible financial position we have ever been as a party at this point in an election cycle.
That doesn’t happen by accident. Our operation is only possible because of dedicated supporters like you who empower us to continually reach new heights. If you want to help us gain even more ground against the Democrats, you can do so securely via WinRed before midnight Monday.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to the NHGOP for help if you need it - we are here to serve.

House Majority Leader Applauds Committee Vote on SB3
House Majority Leader Jason Osborne (R-Auburn) released the following statement in response to the House Ways and Means Committee voting 23-0 to pass SB3, clarifying the tax treatment of the Federal Paycheck Protect Program loans. “I commend the extensive work the Ways and Means committee put into SB3 to ensure this is the best policy for our state to adopt,’ said Rep. Osborne. ‘The fact of the matter is that this money never belonged to New Hampshire to begin with. We should not be in the business of taxing federal relief money meant to keep businesses afloat during a worldwide pandemic. The taxing of this money was forgiven at the federal level, and it is only right that it is also forgiven at the state level. This has been a top priority for the Republican Caucus this year, and we fully support this solution. I am looking forward to the full House vote next week and passing this important piece of legislation on to Governor Sununu.’’

Finance Committee Passes Balanced Budget Prioritizes working families, Main Street businesses & property taxpayers
|
|
|
CONCORD, NH – Finance Committee Republicans today passed a balanced budget for the next two years that is fiscally responsible, helps small businesses, property taxpayers, working families and those in our communities that are most vulnerable. “The budget we passed is a win for taxpayers and a win for New Hampshire,” said Finance Chairman Sen. Gary Daniels (R-Milford), “It takes care of our state’s priorities, funds essential needs across the board and lives within our means. The House proposed sending $100 million dollars directly back to property taxpayers which we supported. We are also sending an additional $188 million dollars from meals and rooms revenue back to cities and towns for property tax relief, an increase of $50.5 million over the last budget.” “Our budget also emphasizes helping our small businesses through tax cuts; providing more educational opportunities for low-income families; helping our citizens dealing with mental health and addiction issues and protecting our treasured natural resources and environment by dedicating more funding to keeping our water clean,” Daniels added. Senate President Chuck Morse (R-Salem), praised the work done by the committee, saying, “As a member of Finance, I could not be prouder of the consideration and deliberation that has gone in to shaping this budget. Weighing so many competing interests is never easy, but we listened carefully to our departments and the public when they gave their input. This budget is fiscally conservative, built on reliable revenue numbers and keeps the promises Republicans made when we laid out our agenda back in January,” said Morse. “It’s unfortunate that the Democrats on the committee pushed for unsustainable spending and a multitude of tax increases on our Main Street businesses. Voters made it very clear last November that they do not want an income tax in our state. It’s obvious Democrats haven’t listened and continue to want to spend New Hampshire into an income tax. Senate Republicans will never allow that to happen,” continued Morse.
