There's no way around it -- in Florida, every race is a close race. There are no easy wins here. It's always us against a mountain of dark money, and the results show it. Every election year, Republicans pour millions into the state.

• In 2016, Trump won by 1.2%.
• In 2018, DeSantis won by 0.4% -- fewer than 33,000 votes statewide.
