[1]Women's March

Hey, John — it's Rachel,
Executive Director at Women's March.

In a moment, I'm going to respectfully ask you to [ [link removed] ]donate
$3, or any amount that's meaningful to you, to help fully
support our urgent Reproductive Justice Fund. But before I do that, I hope
you'll hear me out about why your contribution to this fund before
Monday's deadline is so important.

We launched our urgent Reproductive Justice Fund last week in response to
a flood of Republican attacks on our reproductive freedoms. Not only are
states like Texas and Mississippi passing aggressive legislation designed
to outlaw abortions after just a few weeks of pregnancy — the Supreme
Court also agreed to take up an abortion case that has the potential to
overturn Roe v. Wade.

To be perfectly clear, John, the
threats we've witnessed from the Supreme Court and from states across the
country this past week are some of the most dire we've seen in years. And
we all urgently need to fight back. That's why we're asking you to help
Women's March fully-fund our urgent Reproductive Justice Fund so we can
organize and fight back against these attacks against reproductive freedom
on the local AND national levels.

[ [link removed] ]Progress to goal for the Reproductive Justice Fund[ [link removed] ]We're still
looking for more contributions before the month is out in order to fully
support our Reproductive Justice Fund. It's going to take significant
resources and funding to build a pressure campaign and make sure we
leverage all of our power on this issue, so any amount you can chip in
will make a difference.

When Women's Marchers took to the streets by the thousands to protest the
nomination of Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett, it was because we
knew this day would come. Republican-held state legislators have
threatened for years to outlaw abortion in any way they can — and now
they're closer than they've ever been thanks to the Supreme Court that
Trump and McConnell stole.

Here are just a few of the outlandish, anti-woman pieces of legislation
that have been popping up in states across the country — legislation that
we at Women's March must be prepared to fight:

* Texas enacted a six-week abortion ban that lets random anti-choicers
sue abortion providers.

* Mississippi passed a law that would bans most abortions after just 15
weeks.

* And GOP-controlled states all across the country have "trigger-laws"
waiting in the wings designed to immediately outlaw abortion as soon
as Roe v. Wade is overturned. Just look at the map below:

Roe v. Wade is overturned

It's never been a more important time to fight back,
John. And all of Women's March's organizing
work is funded by grassroots donations — people like you reading emails
like this one and donating $50, $15, or even just $3 at a time. With more
on the line for women and reproductive rights than ever, we need as much
support from this team as possible before Monday night's end-of-month
deadline.

[ [link removed] ]Will you make an urgent $3 donation to our Reproductive
Justice Fund before Monday at midnight to make sure Women’s March has the
funds to organize and put pressure on the Supreme Court to stop this
blatant attack against reproductive freedoms?

We must keep pushing forward.

Together,

Rachel Carmona
Executive Director
Women's March

P.S. If the past few weeks have shown us anything, it's this: We cannot
slow down our work simply because Trump no longer occupies the Oval
Office. This month has been among the worst for reproductive rights in
recent history, [ [link removed] ]so please make a donation of whatever you can to help
this Women's March team fight back against these attacks on our rights and
freedoms.
