Senate Republicans just voted against a bipartisan commission to study the January 6th attack on the Capitol. It’s a disgrace that only a handful of Senate Republicans chose country over politics and went against Mitch McConnell’s party-line vote.

Senate Republicans cynically used the filibuster to stop us. They sided with Donald Trump instead of uniting our country behind a bipartisan commission to uncover the facts of the Capitol insurrection.

Today’s vote shows why it’s not only critical for us to defend our vulnerable Democratic incumbents — but to build up the resources to go on offense in key Republican states.
