Last night I took an Uber ride with Laura, a teacher who drives after work on some weeknights and also on weekends to help make ends meet. During the day, she teaches elementary students at risk of falling behind.

She's also featured in our latest TV ad. In it, she talks about what it's like to be attacked by this governor over and over again for the past three and a half years. It is so important that we are able to make sure this ad is seen by as many people as possible because it shows how high the stakes are in this election. Chip in now.

People like Laura are who Andy and I are fighting for, John. During our ride, Laura and I talked about why we wanted to be educators and how much we cherish the opportunity to help prepare our kids to reach their potential.

We also talked about how demoralizing it is to have Matt Bevin attack us, call us names, and shut us out of our own state capitol. And if that wasn't bad enough, he recently suggested that there was nothing wrong with the fact that teachers like Laura have to take jobs like driving for Uber -- often at night after long days of teaching -- just to make ends meet. He actually said, "it is called America."

Matt Bevin doesn't care about working families. Teachers often get to school before 7am, spend out of their own pockets for supplies, take home stacks of papers to grade, and worry about our students all the time. And he's apparently just fine with having to squeeze a second job into the day.

Help us send a message to Matt Bevin that his dismissive attitude to working people has no place in Kentucky. We're so close to winning this race. Help be a part of it today -- chip in now.
