Hi Friend,

There is growing momentum to go after Amazon for their monopolistic business practices. And now Amazon is trying to stifle those efforts.

Axios broke the news that Washington, D.C. Attorney General Karl Racine filed an antitrust lawsuit against Amazon, accusing the corporate giant of artificially inflating the price of their competitors' products, then undercutting them by creating copy-cat products developed using their competitors' customer data. Amazon forces these businesses to go under, and when no competition remains, Amazon jacks up the price of their products and makes a killing in the process.

While Racine's lawsuit only addresses Amazon practices within Washington, D.C., there is growing momentum outside of the District to put an end to Amazon's monopoly. And Senator Elizabeth Warren is leading the charge. She's fighting back in the Senate to hold Amazon and other internet companies accountable for their monopolistic business practices that flaunt the law, destroy small family businesses, and ultimately harm American consumers.

Friend, in America, companies are supposed to compete on the merits of their company and the strength of their products. But now Amazon has so much power that they no longer need to compete on these merits.

+ They stifle competition because they are the ones who create their platforms' rules.
+ They copy the innovations of their competitors because they have access to their competitors' data.
+ They jack up the prices of their products because they snuffed out the competition.
+ And finally, they make sure that lawmakers maintain the status quo because they have the money to influence elections and our laws.

That's why we're fighting back by electing progressive leaders to positions of power. Leaders who are unafraid of standing up to big tech giants and putting an end to their monopolistic abuses. But we need your help. Please, can you step up today by chipping in $5, $10, $25 or whatever you can to stand up against the outsized influence big tech has? >> [link removed]

P.S. Companies like Amazon may have the money to buy politicians in Washington, but we have the grassroots strength to beat them at the ballot box. Can you chip in $25 today so we can elect progressives up-and-down the ballot to fight back against Amazon's monopoly? [link removed]
