Hi John, are you feeling what I am feeling?

Summer is almost here. Vaccination rates are looking good and continuing to go up. Communities are reopening. And at last, many Americans will be able to take this weekend to reunite with friends and family for the first time in over a year.

I am feeling HOPE!

I am hopeful that our nation will come out of the other side of this pandemic stronger than ever. I am hopeful that the critical work my colleagues and I have done to deliver relief to all Americans – stimulus checks, direct payments to families, funding for vaccine distribution, child tax relief, increased unemployment benefits, and more – is pushing us forward toward a new and better normal.

So while I am hopeful, I am also GRATEFUL. Grateful for your support. Grateful for all of you who stuck by me during this difficult year, even if it meant simply giving $5 to my campaign. It makes a big difference as we gear up for an election in just 18 months that will no doubt feature an influx of dark money and more divisive, headline-grabbing attacks. The GOP is desperate to flip my seat from blue to red, and they have started running the attacks already.
