In 2016, Democrats only flipped two Senate seats: New Hampshire and Illinois. Now, my friend Tammy Duckworth is running for reelection in Illinois, and it could be a tight race.

Republicans only need to flip one seat to take back control of the Senate, and they’re predicting that Illinois will be in play. We can make crucial progress on fighting climate change, expanding access to affordable health care, and helping Americans get through this pandemic — but not if Mitch McConnell retakes control.
