Tell the Postal Regulatory Commission:
"Oppose the USPS Slowdown Plan and demand a plan that preserves the USPS’ universal promise!"
|
John,
Like our Social Security system, the United States Postal Service is the product of generations of Americans working together to build a simple, universal service that unites the country.
So of course, Trump appointees are trying to destroy it.
Louis DeJoy, the Republican megadonor who Donald Trump made Postmaster General, has submitted his proposal to permanently slow down the mail, and charge higher prices for it―jeopardizing the entire USPS. DeJoy is undermining the postal workers who have toiled throughout the pandemic, bringing letters, checks, ballots and medication from home to home.
We can stop it―but it’s going to take all of our voices. We’re submitting official comments to the Postal Regulatory Commission TODAY―can you sign to demand that they stop the Postal Slowdown?
Social Security Works and our allies (including the American Postal Workers Union) have set up a simple website to submit official comments directly to the federal register and the Postal Regulatory Commission. We’ve already flooded them with more than 30,000 comments―but we still need yours!
Donald Trump installed people throughout the government who seek to actively undermine their agencies―from Louis DeJoy at the USPS to Andrew Saul and David Black at the Social Security Administration. President Biden just confirmed 3 new members of the USPS Board of Governors, but DeJoy is trying to sneak it through before Biden’s nominees can stop it.
This official comment period is our chance! Sign now to STOP the Postal Slowdown and save the USPS!
Thanks,
Alex Lawson Social Security Works
