*Ring the alarm* We have three more endorsements coming your way from Florida and Virginia!

Hailing from North Miami, Florida, meet Kassandra Timothe, a proud Haitian American and public servant who is running to represent District 2. As a longtime resident of the city, Kassandra uniquely understands the challenges her community faces and how to solve them.

Kassandra has already advanced to the run-off election this coming Tuesday, June 1st. Let’s get her across that finish line.

In Virginia, we have two incredible women of color running for the Virginia House of Delegates in the upcoming June 8th primary.

Meet NALpista Delegate Elizabeth Guzman, who is running for re-election in District 31. Elizabeth is a Peruvian immigrant with a track record of fighting for New Americans. She led the charge to end Prince William County’s 287(g) partnership with ICE and worked across the aisle to ensure passage of a bill to get driving privilege cards to members of the undocumented community. Let’s ensure that this champion stays in office!

In Virginia’s 49th House District is Karishma Mehtaa preschool teacher, community organizer, and daughter of Indian immigrants. She’s running to break the cycle of inequity for her students and to fight for policies like a Green New Deal, health care for all, and universal pre-K. We need her activist leadership in the House of Delegates.

Let’s hit the ground running.

Yours in the movement,

Anne Flomenhaft
