Hi there,

Last year around this time, I wrote to tell you about cancelling Special Olympics games and competitions due to the pandemic. I wrote that it was a hard decision for us because we know just how life-changing sports, friendship, and a sense of community can be for people with intellectual disabilities (ID). But ultimately the health and safety of athletes is always our top priority.

This year, I’m so thankful to share much more hopeful and joyous news: competitions and events are coming back across the country!
